Our Story

What’s a neighborhood without a coffee shop? Espresso Bueno is an independent coffee shop featuring specialty coffee roasters from around the region. We have been brewing strong in Barre VT, since July 2007.
It's all about the beans. As an independent coffee house, we are offered the unique opportunity to serve and present different roasters. Our house coffee and espresso is roasted by Vermont Artisan Coffee Roasters. Our skilled baristas have been slinging their espresso since we opened our doors in 2007. They are leaders in the industry when it comes to handling coffee from source to cup. Viva Artisan!
Espresso More Bueno. In 2013 we relocated to a larger location to accommodate our growing desire to entertain our audience of righteous coffee drinkers. While our move is over, (Phew! kickstartbueno.com), we are constantly morphing what it means to be an independent coffee house. Espresso will always be the name of our game, however, keep checking here for up and comings!
More Than Coffee.

We are happy to offer a variety of breakfast, lunch and pastry items to accompany our coffee offerings. What’s a latte without a cookie? We often host events such as comedy and music. Check out our calendar. Interested in performing or displaying your art? Contact Elizabeth@espressobueno.com.

What folks are saying

"This cute coffee shop in my old home town is one place I try to stop every time I am back for a visit. Their espresso beverages are remarkable. They are smooth, creamy and delicious. I find the Maple Latte to be a perfect Vermont beverage. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They have gone out of their way to make my visits good ones."

"I recently moved from Barre to Burlington and I truly miss Espresso Bueno. Their coffee and coffee drinks are amazing, the staff is always incredibly friendly (not to mention competent - to a point that I usually don't need to tell them my order, they remember it.), the ginger cookies and scones are to die for. All in all - a great spot whether you like coffee or not. I wish they would open a spot in Burlington!"

"I feel so lucky that this my local morning coffee spot. The coffee is wonderful (and sanely priced!), the staff is wicked friendly, and they always have great music playing (but never in that "Look how cool my musical taste is" way that you find in a lot of coffee joints)"

"I had, quite possibly the best coffee drink of my life here. They make thier mochas with ganache, some of which never melts and stays on the bottom of your gigantic mug so that when your drink is nearly gone you get a mouthful of ganache-y goodness. Mine was flavored with pumpkin syrup, which even the people working there thought was wierd but it turned out to be a surprisingly delicious taste. I don't go to Barre too often, but when I do I'm always tempted to stop here."

"What's better then a fresh and delicious cup of joe, warm atmosphere, fun service, and tasty Morning Glory muffins? I have yet to figure it out. This place is a great antidote to the groggy morning."
